VIDEO: Chocolate Soufflé in a Mug
Make this delicious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate soufflé for you and two friends!
Ingredients
- 3 mugs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate chunks or chips
- 4 eggs
- Salt
- Butter
- Brown sugar
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Set your stove on a low heat setting.
- In a sauce pan, add the milk, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix well over low heat.
- Once the mixture thickens to a doughy texture, remove from the heat.
- Add chocolate chunks and stir thoroughly.
- Separate the egg yolks and egg whites into two separate bowls.
- Add the egg yolks to the chocolate mixture. Stir thoroughly.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites into stiff peaks.
- Add the whipped egg whites to the batter and gently fold them in.
- Using a cube of butter in your fingers, line the mugs with a coat of butter, then top with a coat of brown sugar. Tilt and shake the mug until the sugar sticks to the butter in a consistent layer all over the inside of the cup.
- Pour the batter equally into each of the 3 cups.
- Put the cups on a baking tray and place in the oven for 20 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

In a large pan, combine water, broth and soy sauce and bring to boil
- 4 cups water
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 boned and skinned chicken breast halves
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots

- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms

Oriental Salad

Make a salad with the first four ingredients
- Fresh spinach
- 2 green onions
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 can mandarin oranges
- Crisp bacon (optional)
- Dressing:
- clove of minced garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons soya sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
Oriental Cole Slaw
This tangy side dish is perfect for a BBQ, picnic, or potluck
- 1 package of cole slaw, washed and dried
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- garlic, to taste
- 2-3 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 - package of Ramen noodles (chicken flavor)
- 1/3 cup cashews (use more or less, if desired)
Oriental Salad

Brown almonds and noodles in butter
- 1 head of Savoy cabbage (shredded)
- 5 green onions (chopped)
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 small pkg. slivered almonds
- 3 packs smashed Mr. Noodles Soup (any flavour)
- Dressing:
- 1 cup oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp. soya sauce
Oriental Chicken Thighs

In large skillet over medium heat, brown chicken in oil for 18-20 minutes or until juices run clear
- 5 bone-in (or boneless) with skin OFF chicken thighs
- 5 tsp olive oil
- 1/3 C warm water
- 1/4 C packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbls orange juice
- 2 Tbls soy sauce
- 2 Tbls Ketchup
- 1 Tbls white vinegar
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp chinese 5-spice powder
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 2 Tbls cold water

- 2 pkgs. ramen chicken noodles
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup canola and vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 pkg. sunflower kernels

- 3 packets Oriental seasoning (from noodles)
- 1 cup Vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
