Sweet Shrimp and Pork Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. fresh ginger Minced
  • 1 small red bell pepper
  • 2 green onions sliced thinly
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
  • ½ Lb. Ground Pork
  • ½ Lb. small raw shrimp cleaned
  • 3 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1½ Tbsp. Sambal Sauce
  • 1 pkg. 4" won ton wrappers
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • flour

Preparation

Step 1

Add oil to pan and heat over medium flame. When hot add first four ingredients and cook for 1 minute. Add ground pork and cook thouroughly then add shrimp, soy and Sambal and cook until shrimp are just translucent. Drain ½ liquid and cool before filling won ton wrappers.

Step 2

To make the dumplings place a wrapper in the palm of your hand and brush corners with egg yolks. Place 1T filling in center and fold edges around making sure to seal tightly. Continue until all filling is used. If storing before use, dust sealed side of dumpling with flour and place in container.

Step 3

To cook: Place dumplings in steamer for 2 min. if cold or 1 min. if at room temp. After steaming, sear in a non-stick pan coated with oil or spray until golden. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
