Ingredients

  • 1c of rice
  • 2c of water
  • 1/2 tspn of salt
  • 1 tblspn of butter

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse the rice. Soak the rice in ice cold water for 15-30 minutes. Then rinse it one last time before cooking it.

Step 2

Fill a small pot with the water, salt, butter, and rice. Bring the rice to a boil, without the lid.

Step 3

After 5-7 minutes, check for holes/craters. Once you see them, put the lid on tight and turn the heat down to low.

Step 4

Simmer covered rice for 15 minutes.

Ingredients should be doubled when more rice is desired.
