Tabby's Turtle Cake

I have not made this in years, but I need to its so GREAT. Reminds me of my grandpa Doug, I made it for him one year for his birthday.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of German Chocolate cake mix
  • 2/3 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 14oz package of caramels
  • 6oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cake, 1/3rd evaporated milk and butter, put half the batter into a 9 by 13 pan Bake 20 min. at 350

Step 2

Melt Caramels and 1/3rd cup evaporated milk Pour over warm cake

Step 3

Sprinkle choc. chips and pecans over warm cake

Step 4

Pour remaining cake batter over this and back another 20 min.

This is best served warm but can be placed in microwave if you have any left overs.
