Ingredients
- Funnel Cake Batter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 TBSP baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Oil for deep-fat frying
- Confectioners' sugar
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, water and vanilla until well blended. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; beat into egg mixture until smooth. In an electric skillet or deep-fat fryer, heat oil to 375°.
Step 2
Take a small funnel and pour ½ cup batter into it while holding your finger over the opening. Hold 1/2 inch over oil and release finger and pour in straight strips about 5 inches long. Fry for 2 minutes making sure to turn them while frying.. Remove to plate lined with a paper towel the place on plate and dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
