Ingredients
- 1 cup of shortening or softened butter
- 1 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 package of semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup of chopped nuts(optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Cream together shortening or butter with brown sugar and white sugar.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour,soda and salt.
Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
Drop dough by tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet or non stick cookie sheet.
Bake at 350-375 degrees for 10-15 minutes.Makes about 3-4 dozen cookies.
