Grandma's Cheese Loaf

Moist, delicious and attractive, this makes a good bread substitute and is so simple to make. It also contains no yeast or sugar!

Ingredients
- 3 cups of white flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups medium cheddar cheese (grated or chopped fine)
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp melted margarine or butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cheese in a large bowl. Stir thoroughly.
Step 2
Add milk and melted butter and stir to form a soft dough
Step 3
Put dough into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan
Step 4
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Step 5
Remove from pan to cool and serve with butter
