Potato peas fry

Ingredients

  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Mustard 1 tsp
  • Urad dal 1 tsp
  • Curry leaf 6 – 7
  • Onion 2
  • Tomato 1
  • Ginger garlic paste ½ tbsp
  • Red chili powder ½ tbsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tbsp
  • Cumin powder ½ tbsp
  • Salt ½ tbsp
  • Potato 2
  • Peas ¼ cup
  • Water ¼ cup

Preparation

Step 1

Soak peas in water for 3 -5 hours and pressure cook it.

Peel, chop and Boil potatoes until it is cooked.

In a pan sauté mustard, urad dal, curry leaves in oil.

Add finely chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw flavor goes off.

Add tomato and sauté.

Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric and salt. Mix well.

Add water, simmer the stove and close it with lid.

Open the lid, once the oil oozes out add boiled potato and peas.

Turn the flame to high. Keep stirring until it becomes brown.
