Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2 cups evaporated milk

Preparation

Step 1

-butter an 8 x 8 pan
-combine sugar, butter and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan
-stir in 1 cup evaporated milk
-Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add remaining evaporated milk slowly so that mixture continues to boil
-cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until candy thermometer registers 239 degree F. This will take approximately 32 minutes.
-Pour into prepared pan.
