Indian Taco's

Ingredients
- Bannock:
- - 3 Cups of sifted flour
- - 1 tsp. of salt
- - 2 tbsp. of baking powder
- Water, vegetable oil, or lard
- - Chilli
- - Lettuce
- - Green Onions
- - Tomatoes
- - Cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Start making the Bannock, Mix half the flour with the remaining dry ingredients.
Step 2
Add water until the mixture becomes thick, "like a paper mache paste".
Step 3
Add more flour until the dough feels like a soft earlobe.
Step 4
Heat the oil or lard over a medium-high heat until very hot, but not smoking.
Step 5
Break off small pieces in the hot oil, turn after about 3 minutes, or when golden brown.
Step 6
Place Bannock on a paper towel to soak up any access grease then start to prepare your Indian Taco.
Step 7
Place 1 Bannock on a plate, then put some chilli on first then some lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and green onions. Then enjoy
