Ingredients
- BASE LEVEL
- 1/2 Cup softened Un-Salted Butter
- 1/2 Cup packed down Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1.5 Cups all purpose Flour (unbleached)
- TOP LEVEL
- 1 Cup packed Brown Sugar
- 1/4 Cup all purpoe Flour (unbleached)
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 x 3.5oz can Sweetened Coconut
- 1 Cup semisweet Chocolate Chips
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven 350°F Lightley butter/grease a 13x9in. baking pan
Step 2
BOTTOM LEVEL
Large Bowl Cream together butter, brown sugar, & vanilla with electric hand mixer.
Add flour and beat JUST UNTIL blended
Flour your fingers/hands & press dough into pan creating an even level base.
Bake for about 10mins to just lightly brown edges.
Cool on wire rack.
Step 3
DO NOT TURN OFF OVEN
Step 4
TOP LEVEL
Beat brown sugar, flour, salt, vanilla, eggs until smooth with electric mixer. Stir in coconut.
Spread over cooled cookie layer.
Sprinkle chocolate chips upon top.
Step 5
Bake for 20-25mins until edges are golden brown
Cool thuroughly before cutting into bars
