Ingredients
- 7 or 8 medium apples (5 cups)
- 3/4 to 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 1 tbsp. corn starch
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 dash salt
Preparation
Step 1
Slice apples. Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and corn starch. Mix with apples. Place in an unbaked pie crust. Dot with butter. Add top crust. Cut slits in top for steam to escape. Bake at 450 for 10 minutes and reduce heat to 350 for 40-45 minutes.
