Ingredients

  • Cookies:
  • • 1 cup White Sugar
  • • 3 cups Flour
  • • 1 cup Butter
  • • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • • 2 Eggs
  • • 1 tsp Salt
  • Glaze:
  • • 1 cup Confectioners’ Sugar
  • • 1 tbsp Light Corn Syrup
  • • 2 tbsp Water
  • • 10 drops Food Colouring

Preparation

Step 1

Cookies:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Beat the butter for 1 minute add the sugar and beat for another 3 minutes. Beat in vanilla and eggs, and mix for 1 minute. Add the flour and salt, and beat for 1 minute; scarping the sides of the bowl. Refrigerate dough for 1-2 hours.

Step 2

3. Mold dough by rolling flat on a floured surface, then use cookie cutters. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool

Step 3

Glaze:
1. Stir Confectioners’ sugar, corn syrup, and water together. Add in food colouring.
2. Glaze must be stirred each time you use it, or it will dry with a mottled look instead of a solid colour.
