Ingredients
- 1/4 margarine
- 3/4 sugar
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 3/4 cup brown sugar scant
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
cream butter and sugar
Step 2
mix flour, baking powder and salt and then add to creamed mixture, alternately with the milk
Step 3
spoon batter into greased 9x9 pan
Step 4
combine cocoa, brown sugar and salt and sprinkle over the batter
Step 5
pour 1 cup of boiling water (or a bit more) overtop and bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees
