Pancakes from scratch

Fluffy, delicious pancakes made from scratch!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1.75 cups of flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Heat a nonstick frying pan to medium-low heat.

Step 2

Mix all ingredients together.

(If you do not have buttermilk, you can make some by adding 1 Tbsp vinegar to 1 cup of milk and letting it stand for 5 minutes before using).

Step 3

Pour batter by scant 1/4 cupfuls into pan. Cook til golden brown on both sides.

Do not use high heat when making pancakes or they will burn quickly.
