Sushi Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sushi rice
  • 3 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse rice well with cold water until water runs clear. Drain and let dry for approx 1 hr.

Step 2

Put rice in water with water and cook for 10 min covered.

Step 3

Turn off heat and let sit for another 10 min.

Step 4

Dissolve sugar and salt in rice vinegar.

Step 5

Fluff rice as it cools and mix with the vinegar solution.
