Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons corn meal
- 3 1/4 cups flour {we used all-purpose}
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon yeast {about 1 package}
- Bacon Cheeseburger Recipe:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 8-10 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 clove garlic, minced or crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic salt
- 1 cup green pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- Cheese Sauce recipe:
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 1/2 – 3 cups milk, depending on how thin or thick you want it
- 8 oz of cheese, I use a mix of colby and cheddar

Step 1
Pocket Crust for Bread Machine
1. Place ingredients in bread machine according to manufacturers instructions. We add the dry then the wet in ours.
2. After the bread machine is done, roll dough onto floured surface.

3. Mix dry ingredients together
4. Add wet ingredients and stir until combined
Bacon Cheeseburger
5. Cook bacon in oven.
6. Cook ground beef, garlic, onion and green pepper, drain and return to pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
7. Cook cheese sauce and add to pan.
8. Crumble bacon and stir into meat mixture, heat thru.
Cheese Sauce
9. Melt butter in saucepan on stovetop, whisk in flour and cook a few minutes, being careful not to get the flour too brown.
10. Slowly add the milk and whisk.
11. Add cheese slowly, stirring after each addition until cheese is melted.
12. Let sauce come to a small bubble, whisking until thick.
13. Add to pan.
Bacon Cheeseburger Pockets
14. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
15. Roll dough out and cut with a heart shaped cookie cutter
16. Add 1-2 Tablespoon of bacon cheeseburger filling to one side of heart shaped dough.
17. Add top and seal with a fork
18. Brush with oil
19. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes
