Blueberry Buckle

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shortening 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg well beaten 2 cups flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 2 cups blueberries 1/2 cup sugar 1 to 3 cups flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 cup butter

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs. Mix well.

Step 2

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

Step 3

Pour into well greased 9 inch pan. Sprinkle drained blueberries over batter.

Step 4

Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over blueberries.

Step 5

Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm with milk.
