Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- To roll cookies in
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl, cream shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly.
Step 2
In a large bowl sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed sugar mixture and mix until well blended.
Step 3
Form into 1" balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
