  • 1 MED ONION, CHOPPED
  • 2 TBLS VEGETABLE OIL
  • 1 QT WATER
  • 15 OZ TOMATO SAUCE
  • 5 MED CARROTS, CUT TO 1/2 IN. PIECES
  • 1 CELERY RIB, SLICED THIN
  • 2 TSP SALT
  • 1/2 TSP DRIED OREGANO
  • 1/2 TSP PAPRICA
  • 1/4 TSP PEPPER
  • 2 C FRESH OR FROZEN GREEN BEANS
  • 2 C FRESH OR FROZEN CORN
  • 3/4 C MED. PEARL BARLEY

Preparation

Step 1

IN A SKILLET BROWN BEEF AND ONION IN OIL
DRAIN
TRANSFER TO 5 QT. SLOW COOKER

Step 2

ADD WATER,TOMATO SAUCE,CARROTS,CELERY,SALT,OREGANO,PAPRICA,AND PEPPER
COVER AND COOK ON LOW FOR 5-6 HOURS

Step 3

ADD BEANS,CORN,AND BARLEY
COVER AND COOK ON LOW FOR 2 HOURS LONGER OR UNTILTENDER
