Ingredients
- 2 pie crust
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- dash of salt
- 6 cups sliced and peeled apples
- 2 Tablespoons butter
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 425
Step 2
Place bottom pie crust into pie pan. Peel and slice apples.
Step 3
Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg,and salt. Stir in apples.
Step 4
Fill pie. Cut butter into small pieces over filling.
Step 5
Cover pie with top crust. Cut slits into crust. Cover edge with tin foil.
Step 6
Bake 40 to 50 minutes. Remove the tin foil with the last 15 minutes of baking.
Step 7
Cool 2 hours.
