Ingredients
- 2 - 21/2 c cooked cubed chicken breast
- 1 pkg (26 - 30 ounce) bag - shredded hashbrowns, thawed
- 2 - 14.75 oz cream of chicken soup - or 1 cream of chicken and 1 cream of mushroom ( that's what i use ) or use a 26 ounce can
- 1/2 c milk
- 3/4 c cream
- 2 c ( 8 ounces ) shredded, cheddar cheese
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 - 16 oz broccoli flourets, thawed
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 2 Tbsp dry minced onions
- 2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 oz french fried onion, crushed - optional
- 1/2 lb bacon, cooked, and crumbled - optional - i made this 2 times in the past week. the second time i added bacon...delicious either way.
Preparation
Step 1
reheat oven to 400 degree F.
Spray a 9 x 13 deep baking pan or dish with non stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix soups, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, onion flakes, butter, 1 1/2 cups cheese, milk and cream.
Step 2
In a large bowl; toss together the broccoli, chicken and hash browns.
Step 3
Pour the soup mixture over the chicken mixture and blend well.
Pour mixture into prepared baking dish, and spread out evenly. Sprinkle with crushed french fried onions.
Step 4
Place in oven and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, making sure hash browns and broccoli is thoroughly cooked. Sprinkle remaining cheese evenly.
Step 5
Return to oven until cheese is melted.
