Ingredients

  • 2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER OR MARGARINE
  • 1/3 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 TABLESPOON PINEAPPLE JUICE FROM THE CANNED PINEAPPLE
  • 1 8 OUNCE CAN OF SLICED PINEAPPLE DRAINED
  • 4 MARASCHINO CHERRIES HALVED OPTINAL
  • 1 1/3 CUP FLOUR
  • 2/3 CUP WHITE SUGAR
  • 2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
  • 2/3 CUP OF MILK
  • 1/4 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE SOFTENED
  • 1 EGG
  • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA

Preparation

Step 1

Turn oven to 350 degrees
Melt the 2 Tblspoon Butter or Margarine in a 9X1 1/2 inch round baking pan Stir in Brown Sugar and the Pineapple juce Arrange Pineapple and Cherries into the pan and set pan aside

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl stir together Flour White Sugar and Baking Powder Add Milk and the 1/4 Cup softened Butter or Margarine Egg and Vanilla Blend together with electric mixer for 2 minutes on medium speed Now pour evenly over the prepared Pineapple

Step 3

Bake in a 350 oven for 30-35 minutes or when a wooden toothpick comes out clean Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes loosen all sides and invert onto a plate Serve warm
can also be served with ice cream
