Microwave Cherry Caramel Ring

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup quartered maraschino cherries
  • 10oz package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Preparation

Step 1

Place butter in 9 inch round glass pie dish. Microwave at high 1/2 to 1 minute or until melted. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter; add corn syrup and stir well.

Step 2

Place small drinking glass, right side up, in center of dish. Arrange pecans and cherries on bottom of dish around the glass.

Step 3

Place biscuits over nuts and cherries, squeezing to fit. Microwave at medium 5 to 8 minutes, Rotating 1/2 turn after 3 minutes if necessary.

Step 4

Remove glass and invert caramel ring onto serving plate. Let stand 2 minutes.

Put a small microwave safe glass in center of round glass dish to make a baking ring dish.
