Tea Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 2/3 cup milk.

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add vegetable oil and blend until crumbly. Add milk, stirring to make a soft slightly sticky dough. Place the dough on a lightly floured board and knead it 10 or 15 times. Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut out biscuits with 2 inch cutter.

Step 2

Bake on a ungreased baking sheet at 425 degrees f. for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 12 biscuits.
