Ingredients
- 2c milk
- 1c chopped pecans
- pinch of salt
- 1/2c short-grain white rice
- 3 medium egg yolks beaten
- 1/3c sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1t ground nutmeg and or cinnamon (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan, slowly bring milk, pecans, and salt to a boil.
Step 2
Stir in rice and eggs.
Step 3
Reduce heat. Allow to simmer about 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 4
When the rice is soft, add sugar and butter. Combine well and pour into a serving dish. Serve warm.
