Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 and 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Preparation
Step 1
Cream sugar and butter, mix in egg and flavorings.
Step 2
Blend dry ingredients together and stir into sugar mixture.
Step 3
Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
Step 4
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough in half and roll out on a lightly floured pastry cloth to 3/16 inch thick.
Step 5
Cut as desired, sprinkle with sugar.
Step 6
Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly golden.
