Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 3/4 teaspoons dried basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
Preparation
Step 1
Cook and stir hamburger, onion, and garlic in10-inch skillet until hamburger is light brown; drain.
Step 2
Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Step 3
Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour.
Step 4
Serve sauce over hot spaghetti. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese if desired.
Add more seasoning than required for a stronger flavor.
