Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons fat
  • 2/3 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and sift dry ingredients.

Step 2

Cut fat into mixture. Add milk gradually to make soft dough.

Step 3

Toss on floured board, knead gently, and roll lightly to one fourth inch one half inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter.

Step 4

Bake on unbuttered pan in 450 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
