Pam Morton's Lemon Cheese Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp lemin juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of oil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix dry cake mix, 1 egg, and oil together until crumble forms. Reserve 1 cup of crumble.

Step 2

Pat remaining mixture into ungreased 9x13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.

Step 3

While baking, beat cheese, sugar, lemon juice and 1 egg until smooth.

Step 4

Spread over baked layer mixture. Sprinkle with reserved crumble. Bake another 15 minutes.

Step 5

Cool and cut into bars.

Fresh lemon juice is best but can use bottle.
