VIDEO: French Tarte Tatin
This French tarte tatin is golden, caramelized apple perfection!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 puff pastry
- 6 apples, sliced
- 3 oz. chilled butter, chopped into chunks
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
METHOD
- Roll out a puff pastry.
- Lay out the apple slices in a pan.
- Add chunks of butter on top of the apples.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar on top.
- Cook for 20 minutes in oven at 350°F, to caramelize the apples.
- Place puff pastry on top of the caramelized apples.
- Cook for 15 minutes at 350°F.
- Enjoy!

Mix together the first six ingredients in a large non-metalic bowl

Let rise briefly. Shaped in pans let rise till double and bake 350 for 30-35 minutes
- 1 cup sugar
- 2tsp.salt
- 4 tbsp. yeast
- 2 cups starter
- 7 cups warm water (hot if starter is cold)
- 1-1/2 cup oil
- 21-23 cups flour (bread flour)

Mix together let set stir once in awhile for the 1st hour

- 4 tbsp. yeast
- 1 handful of rye or reg. white flour
- 2 qt. water warm
