Ingredients
- 3 C flour
- 6 Tbsp Shortening
- 1 and 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/2 C water

Preparation
Step 1
Combine flour. shortening, and salt in a medium bowl. Gradually stir in the hot water until the dough becomes soft and pliable.
Step 2
(You may not need to use every bit of the water, just add until the dough has the correct consistency.)
Step 3
Make dough into patties with a 3 inch diameter and a 1 inch thickness. Place one patty on a floured surface and roll out very thin.
Step 4
Stack them on a plate. When ready to fry use an iron skillet on a high heat, brown tortilla on both sides.
