Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1C. (2 sticks) of butter softened
- 1 1/4 C. sugar
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- 5 eggs separated
- 1/4 C. lemon juice
- 2 2/3 C. flour sifted
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 C. poppy seeds
- Glaze:
- powdered sugar
- lemon juice

Step 1
Heat over to 350. Grease and flour 9x12 pan. Beat butter, sugar and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Blend in egg yolks and juice. Add combined flour, baking soda, baking powder and poppy seeds. Mix well. Beat egg whites until foamy then add 1/4 C. sugar and beat until soft peaks form. Fold gently into batter. Pour into pan and bake 30 minutes.
Step 2
Mix powdered sugar and juice to desired consistency and amount. Drizzle over cake.
