Candied Nuts

Nuts are good for you. I like to make them a little worse for you, but super delicious. These are great for snacks, salads, or desserts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds, anything)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Layout a sheet of parchment paper and spray it with non-stick spray

Step 2

Add sugar, butter, and nuts to a sauté pan and heat slowly over medium heat - It’s important to watch over the pan and stir when necessary to make sure it doesn’t burn

Step 3

When the sugar and butter has liquefied into a golden brown sauce remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla extract

Step 4

Pour mixture onto parchment paper and let cool

Step 5

Return to your crispy delicious treat
