Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup skim milk
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 oz light cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 pounds chilled mixed fruit and berries, peeled and sliced as necessary
- 1 cup cubed angel food cake (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the milk, brown sugar, and cocoa until smooth. Whisk constantly until mixture comes to a boil about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove pan from heat and set aside.
Step 2
In a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade, process the hot milk mixture with the cream cheese and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover to keep warm.
Step 3
Arrange fruit and cake cubes on a plate. Serve immediately with the chocolate cake.
Step 4
Prepare in advance:
the sauce can be prepared up to a day in advance. Place in a dish and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until just before serving. To reheat, place sauce in a double broiler set over simmering water until heated through, stirring occasionally. Or warm in a Velata Warmer on High
