Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 to 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400.

Step 2

Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs.

Step 3

Blend in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Step 4

Shape dough by rounded teaspoonful into balls.

Step 5

Mix 2 tsp and cinnamon together. Roll dough balls in cinnamon sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 6

Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. Makes 3-6 dozen.
