Spatini Spaghetti Sauce Mix 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 Beef bouillon cube, crushed
  • 1 1/2 TSP Powdered sugar
  • 1 TSP cornstarch
  • 1/4 TSP ground oregano
  • 1/4 TSP ground thyme
  • 1/4 TSP onion powder
  • 1/8 TSP garlic powder
  • pinch ground black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Pulverize the beef bouillon cube to a powder using a kitchen mallet or mortar and pestle.

Step 2

Mix with remaining ingredients in a small bowl.

Step 3

To make spaghetti sauce, follow the same instructions that appear on the original box of Spatini

Step 4

In a Medium saucepan, combine the seasoning mix and desired tomatoes, and amount of water listed on the chart.

Step 5

Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring frequently, as directed below.

Your choice:
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste with 1 1/2 Cups water, simmer 5 mins.
1 can (15 oz) tomato puree with 3/4 Cups water, simmer 5 mins.
2 cups (16 oz) crushed tomatoes with 1/2 Cup water, simmer 15 mins.

FOR SPICIER TOMATO SAUCE
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce with 1/2 Cup water, simmer 15 mins
