Ingredients

  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. crushed saltines
  • 2 T. milk
  • 1/8 t. pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 12 ounce jar of beef gravy
  • 1 1/4-1/2 sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 T. water

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl combine egg white, onion, crackers, milk and pepper. Add beef; mix well. Shape into 4 oval patties. Fry in a skillet over medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, turning once. Remove and keep warm. Add gravy, mushrooms and water to skillet; heat for 3-5 minutes. Serve over meat. Yields; 4 servings
