Ingredients
- 1 & 1/2 cup Flour
- 2 Tsp Baking powder
- 1//2 cup soft Butter
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tsp Vanilla extract
- 3/ cup Milk
- 3 Apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
- MacIntosh Apples are a great cooking apple but you can choose any cooking apple.
- STREUSEL TOPPING
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp Chopped Nuts (Optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour and baking powder together (reserve). Cream butter until light then gradually add sugar.Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Step 2
Stir in flour mixture alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Step 3
Topping: Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts (reserve). Peel and slice apples (reserve).
Step 4
Spread half of the batter in a greased 8" square pan. Spread half of the sliced apples on top. Sprinkle half of the topping (brown,cinnamon & nut mixture). Spread the other half of the batter then the remaining apple slices then the remaining topping.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm from pan.
Taste best when warm..
