  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 12 slices bread
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese -room temp
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Topping
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Blueberry Sauce
  • 2 cups berries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp flour

Preparation

Step 1

Grease 9 x 13 dish with butter, trim crusts off of bread. Mix cream cheese with sugar spread on half of the slices sandwich with remaining slices. Cut diagonally into quarters to make triangles. arrange triangles in prepared dish in three rows over lapping to fit. Whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla. Pour over bread (cover all spots). Cover and refrigerate overnight. Topping; stir sugar with cinnamon sprinkle over bread mixture. Bake at 350 degree until puffed and golden, about 35 min. Let stand for 10 min. Berry Sauce; Combine berries, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice. Whisk flour with 2 tbsp water, add to sauce pan, bring to boil, until thickened. Serve with French toast.
