Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening.
1 cup sugar.
2 eggs.
1 teaspoonn vanilla.
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix thorughly shorting, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover bowl and let chill for at least 1 hour

Step 2

Heat oven 450 F, roll dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes, place on ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with white sugar bake 6-8 minutes or until light brown.
