Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Butter, soft
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup Alcohol
  • 1/3 cup Almonds (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375F.

Step 2

If using regular milk, measure it out and add a splash of lemon juice. Let sit about 10 minutes

Step 3

In mixer bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 4

Add eggs, one at a time.

Step 5

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in separate bowl.

Step 6

Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, and alcohol, until smooth.

Step 7

Stir in the almonds (optional)

Step 8

Fill 24 cupcake liners, and bake 14-16 minuntes.
Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
