  • 2 lbs frozen hash browns
  • 1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter - melted
  • 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 cup onion - peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese - grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Step 1

Stir the soup, sour cream, butter, potatoes, onion and cheese in a 3-quart shallow baking dish. Season with the black pepper.

Step 2

Bake at 350°F. for 45 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
