Cumin / Jeera Rice

Ingredients
- Basmati rice -1 cup
- Jeera - 3 tea spoon
- Ghee - 3 tea spoon
- cahsew nuts - 2 tea spoon(optional)
- coriander leaves - to garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes
Step 2
In a pressure cooker, heat 2 tea spoons of ghee and fry the jeera for few seconds
Step 3
Immediatly add the soaked.rice and fry for a minute
Step 4
Add 2 cups of water (or the required water for the rice you use) and cook it for 2- 3 whistles.
Step 5
once the pressure is released, fry cahews in remaining 1 tea spoon ghee and add to the rice.
Step 6
Using a fork mix gently. so the jeera seeds and cashew nuts will be evenly spread.
Serve hot with your favorite curry or raitha
