Ingredients
- 3 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 13 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup poppy seeds

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 325. Lightly grease 10 inch tube pan with unsalted butter, lining the bottom with wax paper and grease the paper.
Step 2
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Step 3
In a large bowl, blend sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla. Beat until mixture is well blended, gradually add sifted dry ingredients alternating with evaporated milk.
Step 4
Stir in pecans and poppy seeds. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until top springs back when touched.
Step 5
Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
