Budinca de dovlecei la cuptor – Zucchini/Squash Pie

Ingredients

  • 4-5 zucchini or squash (about 1,2 kg)
  • 250 g ricotta
  • 250 g cream (liquid)
  • 4 eggs
  • thyme, dill
  • salt, pepper
  • 150 g grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Wash the zucchini/squash. Cut the squash in ca 5 mm thick slices. Grease a pan. Mix the ricotta with the cream and 3 eggs. Add the thyme, chopped dill, salt and pepper to taste. Take the pan and make alternative layers of zucchini/squash with the ricotta mixture, finishing with the ricotta mixture as a top layer. Bake for about 30 minutes.

Step 2

Beat the egg fluffy and mix with the grated cheese. Pour on top to make an even coat. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

Step 3

Serve as a side dish or serve with a green salad on the side. Pofta buna!
