Ingredients
- ½ cup butter 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup white sugar pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp soda ½ cup chopped nuts
- 1½ cup flour 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1½ tsp baking powder 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter with sugar and add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 2
Mix 1 tsp soda with sour cream; gradually beat into the creamed mixture.
Step 3
When light, add 1 ½ cups flour, sifted with baking powder and salt. Add vanilla.
Step 4
Pour half the batter into a 9” pan. Top this with half the sugar-cinnamon-nut mixture. Spread over this the remainder of batter and sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture on top.
Step 5
Bake 45 minutes @ 350 degrees.
