Ingredients
- Chicken pieces
- 1 large onion
- Sauce:
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, put on a toothpick so it can be later removed
Preparation
Step 1
Brown chicken pieces and diced onion under broiler or in skillet. Drain fat and place chicken and onion in roasting pan.
Step 2
Combine sauce ingredients and pour over chicken.
Step 3
Roast, covered, at 325* for 1 1/4 hours or until done. Remove chicken to platter and serve sauce as gravy.
