One Pan Chocolate Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 T. vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix all these dry ingredients together in an UNGREASED 9x13 pan.

2. With a fork, create three trenches in the dry mix. Add the following ingredients, each it its own trench:

1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 T. vinegar

3. Dump one 15 ounce can of pure pumpkin and 1 cup of water on top of all. Mix thoroughly in the 9x13 pan.

4. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
