Ingredients
- 1 cup plus 2 T water (70 - 80 degrees)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 T brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 quarts water
- 1/2 baking soda
- Course salt

Preparation
Step 1
In bread machine pan, place the first four ingredients. and mix for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Turn dough onto lighly floured surface and divide dough into eight balls.
Step 3
Roll into 20 inch rope; then form into pretzel shape.
Step 4
In saucepan, bring water to a boil.
Step 5
Drop pretzels into boiling water and boil for 10-15. REmove and drain on paper towels.
Step 6
PLace pretzels on grease baking sheets.
Step 7
Bake at 425 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Spritz or lightly brush with water and sprinkle with salt.
